Save Our Sons & Daughters SC was born from love, loss, and the determination to create change. After the tragic loss of her son Julian to suicide, Tessa Spencer chose to transform grief into purpose. She envisioned a community where families would never have to face such pain alone — where conversations about mental health are open, resources are accessible, and every child feels valued and supported.
What began as a mother’s promise has grown into a movement. Today, Save Our Sons & Daughters SC works to educate, empower, and equip families, youth, and communities across South Carolina. Through workshops, support groups, outreach campaigns, and advocacy, we bring hope into spaces where it is most needed.
Our story is not just about one family — it’s about all families. It’s about building resilience, breaking stigma, and ensuring that every son and daughter has the chance to thrive. Together, we honor Julian’s memory by creating a future filled with compassion, connection, and courage.
